When is the best time to visit?

Our busiest days are Saturdays and Sundays. If you would like a full selection of our pastries and cakes before some items sell out, we recommend arriving before 11am to avoid disappointment. Queues tend to be longest between 9 and 11am.

Always remember we have a second site in Faversham which tends to have a gentler pace with fewer queues.

Do you allow dogs?

We are very dog friendly. We just ask that dogs are kept on a short lead. We have dog bowls for your little friends inside and outside!

Are you accessible for wheelchairs and prams?

Whitstable — We have step-free access through our side entrance, which is signposted and located through the double gates beside the main entrance. We also have step-free access to our bathrooms, one of which has a widened door, emergency pull cord, support bar and baby changing facilities.

Faversham — We have step-free access into the shop. Unfortunately, because of the age of the building and it being listed, we cannot change the layout, and therefore the back dining area and toilet are not accessible for wheelchair users.

Read more on our accessibility page.

Can we book a table?

Unfortunately both our shops are walk-in only. Even on our busiest days the kitchen operates efficiently and wait times are 30 minutes max.
