KIDS charcoal workshop
Half term creativity with a new, fun medium for your little artists!
Whitstable-based artist Liz Atkin will lead a lively charcoal workshop for children ages 5+ exploring approaches to drawing and inspired by the textures and shapes of the seaside.
Liz Atkin is an artist, educator and mental health advocate. She has exhibited and taught in the UK, Europe, Australia, USA, Singapore and Japan. Her artwork and an archive of her advocacy raising awareness for skin picking is held by the Wellcome Collection. Liz teaches art in schools, hospitals, arts venues and universities. She is an ambassador for The Big Draw, the world’s largest drawing festival, focusing on the role of creativity for health and wellbeing.
Adults are welcome to enjoy coffee and pastry selection while children enjoy the workshop but must remain on site for the duration of the workshop.
